What's included
- New asphalt driveways. We excavate, build a compacted stone base, and pave a new driveway sized for your cars and your lot.
- Tear-out and repaving. When the old driveway is past saving, we remove it down to the base, fix soft spots, and repave.
- Resurfacing (overlay). If the base is still solid, a fresh layer of asphalt over the old surface gives you a new driveway for less.
- Crack and pothole repair. We cut out failed patches and fill cracks before water gets underneath and makes them worse.
- Sealcoating. A protective coat that keeps out water, oil and sun, and brings back the deep black finish.
- Grading and drainage fixes. We set the pitch so rain runs off to the street or a drain, not toward your garage or foundation.
- Small parking areas. Shared driveways and small lots for two-family homes and local businesses.

Signs your driveway needs work
- Spiderweb cracks (also called alligator cracking) spreading across the surface
- Potholes or chunks breaking loose, especially after winter
- Puddles that sit for hours after it rains
- Crumbling edges along the sidewalk or the lawn
- Faded grey surface that looks dry and rough
- Weeds or grass growing up through the cracks
A few hairline cracks usually just need filling and sealing. Wide cracks, soft spots or standing water often mean the base underneath has failed. In that case, patching won’t last, and a repave is the better value.

How we do it
1. Free estimate
Call, text or send photos. We come out, measure, check the base and drainage, and look at how the driveway meets the sidewalk and the garage.
2. Written price with options
You get a written estimate. When it makes sense, we give you options, like resurfacing versus a full repave, so you can choose.
3. Prep and paving
We remove the old surface where needed, grade and compact the stone base, then lay and roll hot asphalt to a smooth, even finish with clean edges.
4. Walkthrough and care
We clean up, walk the job with you, and tell you when you can drive on it and when to sealcoat for the first time.
What affects the price
- Size of the driveway in square feet
- Repair vs. resurface vs. full replacement. A sound base costs much less to work with than a failed one.
- Removal and disposal of the old asphalt or concrete
- Base and drainage work needed to fix soft spots or water problems
- Access for equipment (shared driveways and tight alleys take more time)
Every driveway is different, so we give you a written price after a free on-site look.

Frequently asked questions
How long does an asphalt driveway last in New York?
With a good base and regular sealcoating, an asphalt driveway typically lasts around 15 to 20 years. Freeze and thaw is hard on pavement, so filling cracks early and resealing on schedule makes the biggest difference.
How soon can I drive on a new asphalt driveway?
Usually after 2 to 3 days, and longer in hot weather. For the first few weeks, avoid sharp turns with the wheels while parked and keep heavy trucks off it. We’ll give you the exact timing for your job.
Asphalt or concrete: which is better for my driveway?
It depends on your budget and priorities. Asphalt usually costs less up front, installs faster and handles freeze and thaw well, but it needs sealcoating every few years. Concrete costs more but lasts longer with less upkeep. We can price both so you can compare.
How often should I sealcoat my driveway?
Every 2 to 3 years for most homes. The first sealcoat usually goes on 6 to 12 months after a new driveway is paved, once the asphalt has had time to cure.
Can you resurface my driveway instead of replacing it?
Often, yes. If the base is solid and the cracks are mostly on the surface, a new overlay can give you a like-new driveway for less than a full replacement. If there are soft spots, potholes or drainage problems, the base needs fixing first. We’ll tell you honestly which one your driveway needs.
